140 bucks shipped for two brand new RE XXX mids. I should have them in a couple days.
Im debating on where i should install them. Im thinking im going to make some pods to fit in the doors (using the space from the lower/front pocket) and make it as factory looking as possible. I know the kicks arent ideal for great sq in the e36.
I'm also not sure what ill do with my existing setup. Would it be a bad idea to run my current component set (6.5" Polk/MOMO) off my headunit, and hook the RE's up to the amp. Im also getting the CDT upstage kit. Or should i just eliminate my old components?

I would run them in the kickpanel. There is more airspace. You will get lots of output from them if you place them in the kicks. You do plan on running a midrange and tweeter too?

well, i was planning on making the pods so i could make a perfectly sealed enclosure for them, the kicks arent sealed that well are they? i was also thinking about getting some expanding foam and using that to seal the inside of the kicks.
im also getting cdt 3" mids for the factory location in the door, and a cdt tweet also. im still up in the air on my options and how to power everything. how would you do this? here's what i have so far
panasonic 04' c-qc9400 (f,r,sub 5volt) (12db hp/lp xover)
mbquart raa1000 (1Kwrms @ 1 ohm) running rl-i's
mbquart raa2400 (200x2 rms @ 4ohms) running comp set
2 soundsplinter rl-i 10's
Polk/MOMO 6.5" component set (kick panel + stock tweet location)
what i have coming...
memphis 16-x03 3way xover
2 RE XXX 6.5 mids
cdt upstage kit
cdt 3" midrange (30w rms) mount in factory location
cdt TW-25 silk in factory location
cdt crossover (maybe EX-550 which has three outputs MID/Image Tweet/Main Tweet)
so here's what im thinking:
1. running the RE's off of the raa2400 and then just running the mids and 2 sets of tweets off of the HU (60wx4 digital, sounds pretty good actually)
2. running the upstage kit off the HU and getting a 4 channel amp to run the RE's and the 3"CDT/tweet (splitting the front channel signal so all four amp channels play the front signal)
though i may have no clue what im talking about and i have horrible ideas (which is probably the case lol) HELP ME!!??
