Anyone know a safe way to remove rubber/tar from the paint? Since I have been to the track recently, I have rubber and tar on my hood and front bumper that is very difficult to remove. I feel like I’m applying too much pressure to try to remove it and causing some scratching. Any ideas??

Use a commercially available bug and tar remover. I use the Turtle Wax stuff in the metal can. Clean and re-wax the area afterwards.

Removing rubber –
Use a safe solvent to remove burned on rubber; that does not contain any harmful components (heptanes or xylene or hydrocarbon aliphatic solvents (Stoner™ Tarminator, or Simple Green® Aircraft & Precision Cleaner - http://industrial.simplegreen.com/ind_prod_ext_mor.php) that simply emulsifies and dissolves the rubber

If this does not remove the rubber try a 3M Eraser wheel – this 4-inch diameter wheel is made from a soft white polymer, which looks and feels like rubber.
3M Stripe and Decal Remover –

I agree with all the above.

Bug and Tar Remover
Claybar,
3M Adhesive Remover.

Any of those should do the trick.

you'll have it done in to time w/ a clay bar, not to mention it will take lots of other nasty's off the paint as well. Clay bar FTW
