I'm looking for a place nearest to Charleston SC where I can try on/purchase a helmet? Any recs?

I called the BMW shop in Mooresville, NC (about 3 hours away) and they are no longer selling helmets.

Apexperformance.net says on their website that they take stuff out to different track events on the east coast. They also seem to have some of the best prices on safety equipment. They also use to, still may, give a 10% discount to members from here.

Discovery Parts goes to many track events. Roebling and CMP are not too far from you and you can contact them to see when they will be there next.

I'm not sure what's around in NC, but definitely go to store a try on helmets, fit varies quite a bit from model to model let a lone Brand (not to mention the shape of your head, that's why someone will say this helmet fits great and brand x sucks, where someone else will say the exact opposite . you definitely want something that's going to be comfy

Any motorcycle shop should have a variety of helmets to try. Most of the brands do both M and SA rated helmets. I'd say try them on there, and purchase online.

HJC, Bell, etc.

That's the only location I've come across so far. I was told that it was a store owned by Simpson, but producing helmets under a different name.

I'm going to the PCA DE at Road Atlanta this saturday, what are the chances I'll be able to get a helmet there?
