Anyone try out the turtle wax ice polish yet? I was thinking of claying, then using that ice polish, and finishing with McGuires wax. Just looking for feedback on the turtle wax ice, is it good?

ANTSTUNT99M3 08-09-2007, 01:26 PM I try that product your talking about and did'nt like the out come of it...so it's just sitting in the cabinet!! Pretty expensive and it does'nt do the work!!! Try the Mothers Clay kit...works real good!! Turn my Black M3 into a mirrior awahl63 08-09-2007, 02:04 PM It looks nice and is very easily to apply/remove but the durability is terrible. There are much betters products out there. WolfStrong 08-09-2007, 07:59 PM Don't waist your time, and it is Meguiar's. Jed 08-09-2007, 08:26 PM Don't waist your time, and it is Meguiar's. It's "waste" :stickoutt Rez90 08-09-2007, 08:30 PM results look good for the first day, but the product has no durability WolfStrong 08-10-2007, 12:38 AM It's "waste" :stickoutt <3 ty I have actually heard some people use the wax on their trim to protect it, but personally, I would rather use 303 :) abradic 08-10-2007, 11:25 AM Don't waist your time, and it is Meguiar's. LOL, boy, I sure botched that spelling! OK, so it does not seem up to par, and it's great to see feedback from Andrew the Detailer who I am sure is really up on these things. I guess I'll just buy a polish from Meguiar's. Thanks for the feedback everyone. M2Pilot 08-11-2007, 10:36 PM Based on what I'm reading here & have seen elsewhere, it might be good for doorjambs & other such places where there's rubber or plastic seals or gaskets & there's not much exposure to the elements. blackedM3 08-26-2007, 02:06 PM best car polish ever perchaced...takes around 40 minutes to polish my whole m3. worth the price. buy it Anthony914 08-26-2007, 10:17 PM ive used it, and i don't think it sould be called a "polish", i dont see any abrasives???? blackedM3 08-26-2007, 11:18 PM ok wax? Analog1105 08-28-2007, 06:13 PM i think its safe to say you can forget the entire line of turtle wax products. they are all a waste mookish 08-29-2007, 10:19 AM It's a greasey mess and I used it once and never again. I feel like I paid a lot for a microfiber and vaseline. EOSphoto 08-29-2007, 10:51 AM I used it this weekend with ok results. The stuff is very fast to apply and buff off and the car feels very slick and has a nice shine but it's kind of hard to see any areas you might have missed as it doesn't really haze like other waxes. Can't say anything about the durability so far as it's only been a few days and 0 car washes since. I think after I use up this bottle I'll just go back to the S100 caranuba. NYe36er 08-29-2007, 02:40 PM it works GREAT as a quick detailer. Don't expect any durability from it, one rain and its gone. Put a layer of base wax down, and then use this to touch up after washes. GIXXRR7 08-30-2007, 04:51 AM its easy to put on, but a b---h to take off, dont get it wet,ill stick with GLARE POLISH, THATS THE BEST... |
