Anyone know off the top of their head what sides bolts work well with Sparco EVO side mount brackets? The bolts that mount the side mount brackets to the seat.
I have installed these before, and have 2 seats and brackets across town right now, I just can't remember what size I used last time. I was going to pick-up bolts on the way there... if someone knows what size they used it could save me a trip. :)

M6 or M8 bolts? And 25 or 30mm long? The seats and brackets don't come with hardware, of course, and Sparcousa.com doesn't list the seat's hole diameter/thread in their specs.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: THANKS FOR THE HELP!

Not sure if this is much help but the bolt head size is 13mm. I'm guessing they're about an inch long. 25mm ? I use a big flat washer too.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think mine are M8x25. They will probably take a slightly longer bolt (30mm) if that's what you find.

Here you go (from McMaster Carr):
PN: 95327A562 - M8X1.25 Grade 10.9 Bolt
PN: 98040A105 - Fixturing Washer (4.5mm thick)
Trust me, this is overkill but for a whopping $16.11 you will be set (plus have an extra washer and 21 bolts left over). Also, this will be delivered to your door in about 2 days. You might want to upgrade to the plated washers for an extra $0.04 and then you'll have 96 extra washers.

+1 for the M8x1.25. IDK about length.
Thanks guys!
We've got have hundreds of M8 washers and M8 x 40mm SHCS (from camber plate manufacturing) but the 40s are probably too long. I'll drive a block down the street and pick up a box of SHCS M8x1.25 x 25mm bolts from Fastenall in a few minutes. "
I'm too impatient to wait for McMaster Carr. :D (they do have a great website/ordering process and I have used them when I'm not pressed for time, along with a couple of more specialized metric fastener suppliers).
Thanks again - saved me a trip across town to test bolts on the seats and probably a day on the completion. BF.com for the win! :buttrock

Yup...that's correct and x25mm or x30mm depending if you're running a spacer or not.

I just ordered a bunch of stuff from Mcmaster - I replaced all my M8x1.25 X 16 Socket Cap Screws (their name for the Allen head bolts) with McMaster M8x1.25 Hex head Bolts, 18MM (the shorter ones in the mounting kit) for the sides of the mount to the seat itself. Will be easier to get a ratchet on them vs. the hex heads. The application is an E30 325, so with wider seats, like an Evo2, the space to get an Allen wrench in is minimal. This solves this problem.
I used the M8x1.25X25 for the mount of the seat to the slider on the driver's side, and used M10 hardware for the passenger side.
All of it is grade 10.9. Be sure not to confuse the requirement of grade 8 (SAE) with grade 8.8 (Metric). They are not equivalent. You need to go grade 8 SAE or 10.9 Metric to be close to equivalent. Grade 8.8 Metric is near Grade 5.0 SAE. A real bummer if you have to learn the hard way....

By the way, the "official" Sparco hardware kit I got came with all M8 x 1.25 hardware. It included:
4 M8 x 1.25 16MM bolts
4 M8 x 1.25 25MM bolts
4 M8 Washers
4 M8 x 1.25 nylock nuts.
The bolts are 10.9. There is no rating on the nuts or washers. The nuts and washers are silver, the bolts are black.

I've got a quick question, for this sort of application is grade 10.9 or 12.9 better? I know grade 12.9 is stronger but is it a better choice for this sort of application? IIRC 12.9 has some drawbacks.

Ahhh thank you guys. Ordered the parts from McMasterCarr, 20 bucks shipped with plenty of spares. Looks like those M8x1.25 are the same that get used for the VAC floormounts too (how smart of VAC).
