There is a 1985 M6 ragtop for sale on ebay...id post a link but I'm not allowed to yet?? Anyways, I actually saw this car in person, Its in really good shape. He's looking to get $22,000 for it. If you type in "1985 bmw M6" it should be the only one available..what do you all think?

I saw that car, amazing. Only $22k? Seems cheap with that low of miles too.

Since there was no e24 convertible from the factory, it's an after-market job. Many of those jobs are dodgy at best, though by all accounts this one is not bad. However, it'd take a particular buyer to want that car at that price. The typical M635CSi buyer wants a whole car, not one with about 1/3 of its structure removed. The guy looking for an after-market e24 drop-top is looking for the absolute best conversion, and likely could care less if it has an M88 motor or an M30B32.

I've heard there was a factory kit that was produced in very low numbers before it was killed, but I've never been able to verify that (was mentioned on Roadfly, too). Not if this one would be such a thing, but it looks better by far than the other vert conversions I've seen on the E24.

Doesn't look amazingly well-maintained for a car w/ those miles, so I'd want as much documentation as possible there, but overall it looks pretty nice.

Not sure I can see $22K for it though, no matter what the mileage...
