Attention all car enthusiasts! Autokrats will be holding a "Back To School" meet on Sunday August 12th at 7PM. The meet will be a simple get together for many of us who are longing for one last large meet before school starts up in the fall. Unfortunately we could not get support from HCC or UMD in order to use their lots this summer. However with your help we can have one last large meet before summer is over!

If you haven't heard about us we are a car club out of Columbia, MD founded in 2004 out of River Hill High. Since January of 2005 we have been promoting the gathering of all automotive enthusiasts from around the area for large monthly meets in order to spread automotive unity. In November of 2005 we held our largest meet yet of 350+ cars. We are hoping to meet if not exceed this number for this meet, help us do so!



What: Back To School Meet
When: Sunday August 12th at 7:00PM
Where: The Park N' Ride Off of Rt. 32 and Broken Land Parkway
Why: One last Car meet before the summers end!


Directions:

From Clarksville, Ellicott City, Columbia, and points North and West --

Take 29 South from Rt 100, Rt 99, Rt 40 and get off at Exit 16A Onto Rt. 32 East
Take 32 East and get off at Exit 14A onto Broken Land Parkway.
Turn left or right at the light after crossing over the bridge and park in one of the lots.

From Baltimore and points North and East --

Take 95 South and get off at Exit 38B to Rt 32 West
Take 32 West and get off at Exit 14 to Broken Land Parkway.
Turn left or right at the light after crossing over the bridge and park in one of the lots.

From Washington and points South --

Take 95 North and get off at Exit 38B to Rt 32 West
Take 32 West and get off at Exit 14 to Broken Land Parkway.
Turn left or right at the light after crossing over the bridge and park in one of the lots.

The F430 is in FL where it will remain because of driveway clearance issues here in MD. If end up making it back in time for the meet I will be driving the M3.

Summer.. eh.. I work all year. Guess I don't qualify.

The 5er can't make it. The seals on the S/C are being replaced

We've received very positive responses on the 140 or so other forums we posted on -- it's shaping up to be quite a large meet. Hope to see you there!


lax01 -- YES! We are alive and well. We sort of took a hiatus after our former site was hacked and all data was lost (having our main organizer on the west coast didn't help things either!), but we are back!

John -- The name, 'back to school' does not denote the theme for the meet. In reality, it's a cheesy title we, the unimaginative came up with at 3am :). You're very welcome to attend, as are your friends!

cool looks like on my first weekend of being a member ill get to meet some more at a meet. cool i plan on being there.

We are happy to report that the turnout of the August 12th "Back To School" Meet was a big success and we are very happy with it. A Big thanks to all of you that came to the meet and brought friends! We hope that you had a good time, and will join us in the future.

Just to recap, we almost fully filled the one lot (325 spaces) with cars around 7:30-8, with 400+ cars in and out throughout the night.
