Hey guys I have a dilemma I have two great motors and don't know what to do. In one hand I have a s52 which is the original motor out of my car and parts to turbo it..... in the other hand I have a s54 out of a 2004 with 18 miles on it I love the s54 but its a major wiring project and will take alot of time..... what do yall think????

s54 would be bad ass if i had the money thats what i would go with.

yea thats a pretty hard choice to make, you would be very happy with either one.. Id go s54 and then turbo that down the line, but my opinion is biased. the s54 will be much more expensive intially

18 miles!!!! did the car get totalled that quick?

if you dont want the s54 ill take it. s54 engines are built way better than s52 in terms of fi, lots of companies dont know that yet.

s54 motors are extremely advanced. They can run on 87-98, and have an enourmous number of adaptive features. As mentioned before Stand alone is the way to go here and you'll be so much happier in the end after all your hard work. Or if you wana break the piggy bank get a Euro motor as your best bet.

Sell the s54 and build the s52 for big boost

Running and tuning an S54 stand alone is no easy task as it is, more so with a turbo....you can easily get more power and tune an S50/52, plus cheaper to get parts if you screw up a motor

go with the S54, you will be happier in the long run if you plan on adding more to in in the future, you will be starting out with more HP and TrQ and will only go up from there!
