6lbs 13.5ozs, 20"long and alert as can be.

Mom and baby are doing great and dad's not too freaked out yet.

I bet we'll raise some eyebrows as the only couple NOT leaving the hospital in a minivan/SUV, but rather with the baby safely tucked in to a child seat in the back of the M3. :buttrock

May as well get the kid used to a proper driver's car.

Hey everyone! Many thanks for all the best wishes! Looking forward to introducing him to the all of you BMW-Porsche Club of Hawaii uncles (and aunty).

I know he's not the only new bf.c-hi member to come along; a few other kids are dues soon, yeah? I forget who else is expecting a baby. We can add the stroller and car-seat topics to the C&C discussions. Who else is due?

The doc and wife have put an embargo on visitors from alien households for 1 or 2 weeks post-delivery, so I doubt I can sneak him out of the house.

I'm also banned from taking him on a cruise until he's in a forward facing car seat and can take the acceleration; oh yeah, Sport button is also supposed to be off while he's in the car. :D I guess I'll have to dial down the shift intensity too.

I've been practicing on driving like the DMV handbook wants me to. Really, I have. Today I drove behind a 98 Ford Taurus all the way down Beretania, at least 6 0r 7 lights, before I couldn't take it anymore and passed on the inside and on the gas while turning on to Punchbowl.
