Kman911 08-06-2007, 10:58 PM same thing nickdeck 08-07-2007, 07:16 AM I remember reading (on autopia) a post from the manufacturer that said his web site registration had a glitch if you're using Firefox, and that you should use IE to register. Don't know if that's the problem you guys are seeing, but you might try with IE if you haven't already. mosportgreen66 08-07-2007, 09:09 AM I cannot even find serial number on the machine? Maybe i'm an idoit but where is the number? nickdeck 08-07-2007, 11:49 AM You have to remove the backing plate that your pads attach to. It's inside that head housing area. turb0charged 08-08-2007, 12:27 AM meh... I hate my UDM... just detailed my first car, not very impressed. Moreover, that thing was heavy, it vibrates so much as if I'm holding a massage device and the on/off switch turns on very easily. nickdeck 08-08-2007, 07:46 AM The UDM is my first machine of this type, so I don't really have anything to compare it to in my own experience, but I like it a lot. The only thing that has me wondering about it a little is when I tried to use it to buff off a product. I got a wool pad and some MF bonnets to put on top of it. When I bring the pad in contact with the paint, it stops spinning (unlike using a cutting or polishing foam pad). Just kinda vibrates in place. Autogeek tells me that this is normal, but it doesn't seem to do much in the way of product removal, Anybody else have a comment about this? Is this the same way the PC works? mosportgreen66 08-08-2007, 09:22 AM The UDM is my first machine of this type, so I don't really have anything to compare it to in my own experience, but I like it a lot. I have never had this happen. Seems odd... |
