View Full Version : Parting out a 1999 M3 Cabrio - taking requests!
Rob Levinson 08-06-2007, 05:11 PM 1999 Estoril Blue Cabrio with dove gray interior and dark blue top, has had previous chassis/frame repair that we're unhappy with and decided to part it out.
Almost everything is available except for engine/transmission and a few little interior parts. Hood is bad (dented from tool left under hood) most other panels and top in decent condition. Interior panels are good but a little dirty. No airbags. Doors are good, passenger door glass broken.
Complete front and rear body clips and top available, buyer responsible for cutting apart and removing. Or, take the entire chassis if you like!
PLEASE NOTE: We are going to be taking the car apart over the next week, and will take pics of all the cosmetic / wear items.
Please e-mail all requests to rob@shortshifter.com ... I will reply with pics and pricing when available over the next week or so.

Yep, it's anti-spam. No big deal... send me the e-mail, the system sends you the e-mail confirmation, and just hit "reply". It wants to make sure you're a real person and not a mailbot spammer. Earthlink and other systems do the same confirmation request thing.

chipyting 08-08-2007, 12:03 AM Arm rest, Is it still decent, or is there even on in an m3?
Rob Levinson 08-08-2007, 10:05 AM It's a manual transmission (transmission not being sold), so the diff is the 3.23.
Armrest is available.
No wood.
Steering rack available.
3-spoke wheel available, no airbag.

It's a manual tranny and you were looking for the auto.
I think you would be very disappointed with the acceleration of a 3:23 on your auto tranny. However, you could cruise at 80 near 2000 rpms.
325icintn 08-08-2007, 01:10 PM steering rack?
Is it quicker ratio than a non-m rack?
millertimebmw03 08-08-2007, 01:38 PM Is it quicker ratio than a non-m rack?
I dont think so, it's only because mines not working too well. You want a Z3 rack for quicker ratio!
