Has anyone used the bow repair kit or repaired their plastic ribs from a sagging headliner?
I got the bow repair kit, it uses metal clips that attach to the plastic ribs and screws into the metal bows in order to hold the headliner in place. Since I don't know exactly how the headliner and top attach to the frame, I'm a little paranoid at tugging too hard at the fabric and headliner.
In the repair kit, it says, the "headliner needs to be dropped". This allows easy access to the plastic ribs. I've tried to get the headliner down, but it seems to be attached to the fabric top as well on Bow 1 and I think 3 as well. Plus, the fabric top needs to separate from the bows so I can drill holes for the screws that fasten the new metal inserts.
Does anyone have info on this? Thanks.
