I was wondering if the 1998 740i had self leveling headlights. If so mine arent working. Also wanted to know if lights from a 1999 740i sport would fit in mine because they are xeon and self leveling.

As far as I know the self leveling lights did not come out until the 1999 model year so your 98 lights are not self leveling. Yes the 99 lights will fit in your car but the corner lights are different (smaller). You would have to fill in the gap in your fenders around the 99 style corner lights or replace the fenders with ones from a 99 - 01.
