Heh, reminds me of the time i was looking at an m3 that had GARDEN hoses in the engine.. serious. The seller was like "whats wrong?" as i got in my car and drove off.

You're referring to the 320is (http://www.bmwmregistry.com/model_faq.php?id=10), which was sold only in Italy and Portugal, and had a WBA (non-///M) VIN. It was mainly a 325 with the S14 and Getrag 265 dropped in - no other M3 bits (4 lug, std. suspension, etc.).

I haven't ever heard of one being here in the US. Although it would be rare, I wouldn't place too much extra value in it unless I was a collector trying to own one of every E30 variation out there.

320iS cars hold good value as they are rare and sought after. The 2.0L S14 makes the same hp as our 2.3L S14. Funny huh that US cars are so under tuned.

Just ask Jake what he thinks of his 320iS or some of the UK guys. They go over to Portugal/Spain/Italy just to find them.

There are a few floating around from time to time on www.mobile.de also

Is Jake in the US? I'd be interested to see the car.

I was mainly referring to the US market. A lot of the taxes in Europe are still targeted at displacement, so I can imagine that a 320iS in Europe would be quite a find and valued. I'd be interested to see what one would fetch here...

Yeah, I have not seen or heard of any here in the states. On Jereons site, he has a special section for the 320 cars, but its not too active. A few cars come up for sale from time to time, but yes only over in Europe and the UK. They seemed to be very popular for the track guys.

Jake works abroad in UK for the USAF. He posts on s14.net and some other e30 M3 sites but not too much anywhere else.
