I did this job in the wine country... actually before it in Napa. The owner wanted me to work on everything on the exterior including some touch up, but he didn't want me to touch the side skirts or bumpers.

Overall, po106ff finished off everything. There were a bunch of deep scratches that I didn't want to diminish the clear coat for so I finished them as best as I could.
Pictures: I forgot to bring my camera so Ron was kind enough to let me use his. I didn't know that the sun would wash out a lot of the pictures so not all of them came out the way I wanted.

Note: Things started turning out better when I went a little more aggressive on the Wet sand (caution, don't do this if you never done it). Also, specs on the hood were random pitting that was all over the hood.

Great job on the paint, too bad he didn't want anything done with the trim...it needed some attention.

I have that same pitting on all the top surfaces of my black e36, very frustrating on otherwise mostly defect free paint.

great job! also wish he would have let you do the trim. why was he opposed to that? again ... turned out beautiful.

I don't know, he said he just painted it so i guess he didn't want me touching it. Plus he added the shoe polish onto the back piece so I didn't want to touch that. It's ok though, it's one of those pieces that gets neglected.

I don't get why there was pitting so evenly throughout the paint. It didn't seem like it was at certain spots, but it was everywhere on the hood. RMG didn't fill it in so I don't know what will.

thx, the car was pretty swirled up to begin with, it had a lot more depth in the paint afterwards.

Wow, looks great. I've also got these little rust pitting spots all over the car, kind of speckled almost. Do you know what would work on that? And if I was looking to get as complete a detail as you did at one of the local shops, what would I ask for?

^^ I would just go and buy yourself a clay kit from Claymagic or Mothers clay from autozone, pepboys, etc. It will pull out the rust spots from the car. Look for my detail on the toyota celica when i used the clay, it had the same problem as your car. Kit ~ $17.99

If you go to a complete detail, they should at least include the clay bar into the detail, and if not, ask for it. If they know what they're doing, they would know exactly what you're asking for.
