I am new to doing full exterior detailing for cars... i have cleaned/maintained cars but never applied/used waxes, clays, paint cleaners/ ect.
i did this survey on meguiars.com to see what i needed to buy for the want i want my car to look like/time it takes.
After washing the car, it tells me what to use to get my paint to look glossy and to remove swirls/scratches.
What it tells me to buy:
clay kit
deep crystal system paint cleaner
nxt generation tech wax
nxt generation spray wax
in what order do i apply these products after i properly clean/dry my car?
anything i need to add to make my time detailing my car worth while?
thanks in advance

-Cleaning/prepping: Clay kit is a MUST. If you do not have that, get it now. Also if you are washing your car with anything but a dedicated car wash soap, then go and get some car soap!
-The Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner, while helpful, is not THAT effective on a clear coated paint. You are MUCH better off using ScratchX here if you are working by hand, which it seems as though you are. I do recommend ColorX though, as I will mention below.
-NXT Tech Wax is a fantastic product. It is my personal favorite wax along with M26.
-Maintain the finish with quick detailer when lightly dusted (or you get bird crap/bugs on the paint). I personally use Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Detailer on my car. Best detailer I have ever used; period.
Remember though that you DO need to polish, so while you could use something like M7 or Deep Crystal #2 Polish, I would recommend using an all in one product like ColorX. ColorX is a cleaner wax which means it takes the place of hte paint cleaner, polish, AND wax. I usually top ColorX off with NXT, and to be honest, ColorX has virtually taken ScratchX's place all together in my arsenal as I find it just as effective at removing imperfections and touch ups, saves time, and money.
If you are working by machine, then we get into a whole different ball game!
