In a nutshell, if someone is not going to pay cash for this car they wont get it financed for more than 17-18 grand. Nothing personal, that's just the reality of selling a used car. In light of this, you may want to reconsider your current offer, unless oyu want to sit on that car for a long time.

Let's just let the guy sell his car. Book values don't really come into play on rare cars. This is one of them. Try to find an E36 M3 or E34 M5 for the price quoted in one of the above sources.. If his price is out of line then the market will be the one to let the seller know.

Asshat....now that made me laugh. Serious though, I am looking for a used 540 to be the new daily driver (328 2 dr with a baby on the way is no good). I saw this and thought, wow, that would be kinda sweet. A little out of my price range, but wow, what a killer wagon. Can you post some pics.

id be glad to post some pics but there is some queer thing about not posting pics till you have a certain number of posts.

You can say all you want about milage, blue book, blah blah blah but the fact is that this car is perfect, rare and people who are looking for something specific will know if this is their car. we are the second owners and it has always been babied. my mother doesnt drive over the speed limit and the thing lives in the garage out of the weather. this car was special ordered by the original owner and the dinan chip installed at the bmw store in cincinnati as well as all service done there.

you wont find a nicer example of this car.
