Removing tint is easy, but DO NOT attempt the back window. Pay the $50 for a professional to do it, because if you attempt it, you WILL hurt the defrosters.

-Some soapy water (car soap + water works fine) in a spray bottle (or even quick detailer). This will act as a lubricant.
-Next, you need maybe 10 razor blades, and make sure you get the square ones, not the other ones.
-A plastic bag also helps to put all the trash in
-A couple of rags
-Goo-Gone

Now what you will do is roll the window down a little so you can reach a corner. It is easier to start from the top right. Now, get it really well lubricated, and using the razor blade, try to lift up the corner just enough so you can grab it with your hand. Be careful though with the razor blade as you don't want to scratch your window, which can very easily happen. The key here is to keep it as paralell and flatto the surface as possible and with one, short stroke at a time. Do not try and do a lot of quick strokes or one long one as the quick ones might scratch your window and the long one isn't that effective.

Once you have a corner up enough to grab it by hand, grab it and try to peal as much tint off with it as possible. Sometimes it will come off with just a few pieces, sometimes it takes A LOT of small pieces. Just remember the point is to not scratch the window here. Do not worry about the remaining glue left on the window though, just get the tint off.

Now the easy part. Simply damp a part of the rag with Goo-Gone, and rub away at the glue. It will come right off with easy, and there you go! I took old bubbled up purple tint off with this method without scrapping the windows, so it should be cakewalk on yours!

Thanks ! Can I use a hair dryer to get it off ? I was told to do that to make it easier.

I've never had a problem removing tint without a hairdryer [24+ cars at my dad's shop]. All it takes is a few good razor blades and a crapload of elbow grease to get the glue off. But I would highly suggest a razor blade scraper to remove the glue if you can't find any Goo-Gone. Just spray some window cleaner ontop of the glue and scrape it off with the razor.

You can rent them at some places. I have one at work.
Get the top corner of the tint on any window really hot. Peel the tint off glue and all, keep applying steam under the tint where you pulled it of. It comes off in one big peice. No razor blades or solvents in you car. Clean you r interior while your at it.
Best way without a dought.

I agree that the amonia is the way to go. Watch your ventillation. Spray it on the tint, let it soak for a little while, spray it again, and it should peel off. If any of the adhesive remains, use the amonia again. I tried many othetr solvents, alcohol, Sherwin Williams Adhesive cleaner etc,. and NOTHING worked as easily or inexpensively as amonia.

I grabbed a heat gun and gently warmed the outside of the glass while scraping with a razor blade. In my experience, its is VERY hard to scratch glass with a razor blade. I didnt say it cant be done though :)

On my project saturn, i warmed the outside of the glass with a heat gun while scraping. I clamped a razor blade in a pair of needle-nose-vice-grips and went to town. I just took it off in long, even strips. Didn't scratch the glass once :D

Then i soaked the remaining glue in ammonia. Scraped at it with the razor blade until it was kinda all off.

Then just clean the window like normal :)
