I'm expecting my indash touchscreen deck in the mail soon. Anyone know of a good shop in the San Jose area where I can get the install done. Maybe even "hypothetically" ;) a place that will run the e-brake bypass switch :devillook BTW the deck is an Alpine

all i did was ground that wire so it thinks the ebrake is on all the time... if you want a switch u can just put a switch in there.

I can do it if you have the right connectors.

You don't have to ground it to your ebrake. All you need to do is have it ground.

Is it a motorized single DIN? Can't you just get a harness and splice colored wires accordingly? Or is it a deck with a separate "brain" unit like the Eclipse LCD screens (7002, etc..)?

Sup Derek it is a single motorized din with a seperate brain. That was the box you seen me loading into my car when you were disconnecting my neighbors cable :lol It's a IVA-D300. I could attempt to get in done myself, but I want it installed cleanly. :shifty

Oh fa sho'! Where do you people usually put the brain unit? I stuffed my old Eclipse unit underneath my passenger seat but it was always close to getting smashed when the seat was lowered.

My friend has the same headunit and the place that installed it put it behind the rear interior side panel on his M3/2. Yeah I also don't want the brain under my passenger seat because as you said someone might lower the seat and smash the sh1t outta it :shifty
