Damn, I just paid $250 for a damn SRS light reset tool because I refuse to pay the BMW stealer $60 to reset my SRS light. Let me see if I can try to slowly recoup my costs by helping out my fellow SF Bay Area BMW brothers. If anyone needs to have their Oil, Inspection, or most importantly the dreaded SRS lights reset, it will be $5. I figure you can't go wrong with this price and everyone benefits. You'll have to come to San Francisco though. Let me know if anyone needs any lights reset. Thx!

FYI, you can do this for almost free.

Service Light Reset (http://www.unofficialbmw.com/e36/electrical/e36_reset_service_lights.html)

I use an old voltmeter probe wire. Works every time.

I'm not trying to rain on your parade, but $250 is a lot for something that does the same job as a piece of wire. Unless that thing can read out error codes, I'd return it.

Thanks for the link. This only resets the oil and inspection lights. I can't seem to find anywhere that tells how to reset the SRS Airbag light if you trigger it without this specialized tool. I know $250 is a grip. What can you do, right? Get held hostage everytime this happens and pay $60 to BMW for a 1 minute job?
