I have the money right now, so i'm going to wait and see what you guys say first.

+1 ... I was considering buying the $289 kit but Ive read a few things on here that the bushings are way too soft and crap out after a couple thousand miles. just buy oem stuff or lemforder. try oembimmerparts.com, they have some pretty good prices and Ive always heard good things about them

Why would you replace parts that are not worn? Failure history shows the thrust arm bushings wear out early as 50K miles while other parts remain tight as you approach 200K miles. Replacing all componentry on the same interval (just because your thrust arm bushings are blown out) makes no sense at all.

Buy some Vines thrust arms on ebay. They are about $120/pr. Forget about the other stuff because you don't need it.

Changing thust arms does not require suspension realignment. Replacing other parts in the kit like link or tie rods does.

PS: The only parts that prematurely go bad on 540i/M5 suspension are rear suspension lower ball joints (really just a rubber bushing in a sleeve) and the front thrust arm bushings (really just a rubber bushing in a sleeve). As you can see, these are rubber parts that tend to crack, tear and rip after being subjected to motion, loading force, ozone etc.

Most all the other suspension parts are metal or lined low friction joints with permanent grease in them. They last about 5x as long....except for swaybar end links.

Swaybar end links are a "secondary suspension part" that sees tremendous force and their lightweight design means they go bad every 50K mi or so, even they are lubricated ball joints. They are generally changed when they get noisy (loose). Heavier vehicles like 5er, 7er and minivans absolutely torture their end links, so they wear out quicker than most ball joint connectors. You can test them for tightness fairly easily. The procedure is in every shop manual. I check mine every time I replace brake pads because it's handy. These links can be changed almost easily as a tire.
