It's possible you have a flood car... :(
Richie1404 08-01-2007, 03:01 PM What do you mean by
FLOOD CAR?
amancuso 08-01-2007, 08:36 PM A flood car is a car that's been submerged in water during a flood, then dried out and sold without the next owner knowing this.

oomz1975 08-02-2007, 05:53 PM Front left repeater, works when it feels like...
palomino 08-03-2007, 03:01 AM my car has a ground loop interference that manifests itself in the gong that sounds the obc functions for limit, temp, and clock memory. i removed the gong from the car, problem solved.
NiTrOuSoXiDe 08-03-2007, 04:50 AM Top has an attitude and holds grudges against me.
Also I have a squeaking/rattling coming from the rear of my car and for the love of God I can't find it...
sprocket1200 08-03-2007, 01:38 PM mine is the jumpy fuel guage...i have checked the connections, replaced the send AND fuel pump units.
i am NOT chasing wiring!
i thought i had squeaking too, but it was just the passenger seat...gotta lube that thing!
my windows would come down too when i tried to put them up. i found that the passenger side of the top cover was not closed all the way and i have to push it down on that side each time this happens. that works every time.
climate control was the unit itself for me, swapped it out and troubles were gone.
while we are on it, the brake circuit warning was fixed by replacing the brake light switch under the pedal. i got a used unit and it works awesome.
have fun!!
TreibeFroh 08-05-2007, 04:59 PM To help others... My window was jumpy. My mechanic friend and I rolled it up and down and saw the point where it likes to jump. Then, while rolling it up, he yanked it as it started sticking (to help it along and not let it jump down). We heard some very scary "broken" sounds from the door. Now it works just fine!
My gremlin is... trying to find out what fried my power window controls. Literally fried. I know the left-right motor wire was what fried. I'm going to replace each motor in each mirror, get a new switch in the door and wires. Then, I will cross my fingers and PRAY that there's not a ground that will cause another frying event. Because, then I get to do it all over again and go wire hunting :)

I had this for a day. You need to resolder a capacitor inside the unit. It's an easy DIY. Just do a search for it. Other than that, nothing has gone wrong electrically.

Window is normal as it,s a safety feature. But it can happen too if the mechanism is worn too.
Climate Control is a .30c capacitor that needs to be replaced.
I have to say, *knock on wood* I have none at the moment.
