Hey all. I was contacted by Jay Dee from OKMini last night about doing a combined Charity Car Show/Poker Run sometime in the coming months. I told her that BMWMOFO would love to help and cosponsor the event. It will be 100% charity. If you are interested in helping please let me know and I will keep you in the loop on meeting dates etc. Also if you know of any other clubs that would like to participate, please spread the word and give them my contact info.

im still in. saturday would be perfect. one of our anesthesiologists and one of our perfusionists both have bimmers so i can see if they would also like to get involved.

Would it be taboo to include the porsche and mb clubs? They're pretty active in OK...just trying to think ahead of time of what needs to be done.

i am hoping that there will be a variety. i am going to bring up inviting the Porsche, MB, and VW/Audi clubs as well. make it all euro.

what is the charity?

well it is modeled after the '3rd Time's a Charm' car show that we did in conjunction with the BMWCCA a few years ago in Jenks. last time it was for that organ transplant fellow. all i know is the recipeint for this car show (whom wants to remain anonymous) is a Mini person that has Lupus, a brain tumor, and a failing liver due to the medication for first 2 conditions. the person's child also has lupus. sucks.

We've got our annual Car Show at the Choctaw Oktoberfst, September 8th (http://choctawfestival.org/octoberfest.html .. turn your volume down! This site is loaded with plenty of Polka!!) Of course everyone here is invited, I'll post up some info later.

Oct 13th is the date. we are planning on 12th St. Park in Moore. i think that is the name. anyways the minis are going to be in charge of the Poker Run and the MOFOs are in charge of the car show. more to follow. we are going to have a small planning meeting for this amongst the MOFOs after we get back from MBF.
