i ordered a 328xi a couple months ago - i did all of this via email since i was deployed at the time. when the order was first submitted it was for Monaco Blue, but two days later i changed my mind, and the salesperson submitted another purchase order to Munich, this time for Montego Blue. unfortunately, since that was the only change to the order, whoever recieved it in Munich didn't notice the difference and, thinking it was a duplicate order, threw it out. long story short my car is built and will be Monaco Blue. that's okay with me, i'm not that picky, but it was something i wasn't crazy about especially since i found the mistake myself when i logged on the owner's circle for the first time.

i just checked my order detail and noticed that under factory installed options, my beige dakota leather is not listed. i did order that (and paid for it already), and i was just wondering if that is not a factory installed option, if they don't list it for some reason, or if i've stumbled on mistake #2.

many people have reported inaccuracies with the OC info, but their order was in fact correct. Do a search on this forum and you'll find lots of posts on that.

most of the posts I recall mention the ipod adapter option not being listed and/or the Owner's Circle not being accurate for a period of a week or so after ordering. If I was bimmermog, I'd be concerned.

Other than the ipod adapter, my Owner's Circle information was accurate starting about 3 days after my order.

Where do you see your order detail? I'm going through the BMWUSA site > Owners > Owners Circle > Logon > selecting the ordered car (which, by the way comes up as a 325 conv. and not a 328 conv.)> Order Tracking
but that only comes up with "on order", "schd for production" ect. w/ very little detail. Am I missing something?

gspdbill -- yes: after it goes through it's little animation, there is a button for order detail

I would email the dealer and have them email you a copy of the order / build sheet. Since the OC is not 100%, that's how you're going to find out what your car has or does not have.

Another question, what is status 150? I thought I read on another thread that 150 is "schd for production".

I don't know what "status 150" means, but here is a better way of tracking your order anyway (until it gets loaded on the ship):

Call the factory at 800-831-1117. Choose vehicle production status and use your order number which you can get from the Owner's Circle

(I am such a happy camper to finally be a forum member who has *received* his car already) :)

My car showed as Monaco and didn't show an interior color or any packages, but it was perfect when it arrived...:D

The website status app is darn near useless I guess.

Seems to me you are more excited than your wife. I look at my crystal ball and I see this situation repeating often for you:
"hey honey, don't bother yourself, I'll go to the store and get that for you, I'll take your car"
... 2 hrs later
"damn, all the stores were out, I had to drive all over to find it"
;)

;)Actually I have a 993 Cab that's my "play" car. Don't get me wrong but this is not the car I would have ordered if it were going to be mine, I'm sure I'll enjoy driving it though.

No, every week when I pick her up at the airport she asks me if there's been an update to her car's status. She was getting tired of me saying "still in schd. for prod." so I had to get more accurate info.
