yes, that is waht a forum is for. but i dont see how getting other people to do your homework for you is any type of discussion.

P.S. why an ls7?

Buy it, sell it, keep the profit for an LS1 swap...i don't think an LS7 swap has ever done and will be super super super expensive because of all the R&D that will have to go in it

If he sells you the LS7 for 2 grand, buy it and also pull the dry oil sump system. Call me when you buy it, and I'll buy it from you for $2500 and I'll give you my LS1. Deal?

well, if you have access to the LS7, then I say go for it. It wouldnt be much if any different than an LS2 swap.

What other R&D? The only difference in the installation would be the oil pan, oil tank, and lines. The LS7 and LS1/2/6 all have motor mount bolt pattern and spacing.

If you can get it that cheap, buy it. Then bug the hell out of Vorshlag until they get their kit done, then buy it too.

well how much for a full ls2 or ls1 swap and what would i be looking into as problems for the ls1/2?

Once you find the purple wire to hook up the VTEC it is pretty easy.....

FYI, a crate LS7 is $13k.

You can also build LS7 block 427s using a LS2 style wet sump with an aftermarket rotating assembly for less. The dry sump has had some promblems.

If it were me I'd build a LS2 block 402 or L92 block 415 with L92 heads and be over 500rwhp for less than the LS7.

What everyone else has said.........buy it, sell it...build something better. I vote LS2 + boost

Wow, there are sure alot of dicks in this thread.

Personally, I would buy that engine and sell it in a heartbeat. You'll have a good 10g to play with for a nice turbo kit that will make your car a god.

And if not, do an ls1 swap!

Can you say 600whp? :redspot

Better than most realize. GM VVT (Variable Valve Timing) on a Gen IV motor.
