I was over at Stevens Creek BMW today. In their parking lot, I saw an E36 340is. I was like wtf. Has anyone seen this car? It's a black two door, everything stock except for M3 ten-spokes. I think it was an Arab/persian guy driving it.

Ive seen it before at oakridge, some chick was driving it. I pointed it out to my friends and was dieing laughing...they of course didnt get it.

why doesn't somebody test him next time they see him to find out the truth? Of course if the badge on the back is telling the truth then that would be pretty embarassing! Keep on the lookout!

next time i'm there, i'll look for it and the owner and ask to see the engine... if it's a 340, that means it'd have to be the older 4 liter v8's- the ones with the nikasil problems, cuz the 96+ v8's were 4.4 and didn't have the nikasil problem.

But yeah it'd be pretty tight if it did really have a v8 in there heh

if that thing really has a 4.0 v8 (which is probably doesn't) out of an e34, it's possible for the nikasil block to be replaced with an alusil block.

ahhh ok. shit i thought when the replace the nikasil blocks-they're 4.0's, i thought they swap 4.4's in them.
