For sale here is my 1985 BMW 528e. It is burgandy on black with a 5 speed manual tranny. 65,000 original miles on a rust free body.
When I began my search for an e28, I did so with two cirtieria in mind: 1) the car must have 75,000 miles or less. 2) car must have a manual transmission. I passed on more rust buckets and projects than I could keep track of. On the flip side, I passed on some stellar examples which would be hard to replace but what transpired from my perserverance was this immaculately maintained, low mile, mechanically sound, e28.
I began replacing all the necessary parts. The following parts have been replaced within the last six months.
Suspension work:
-replaced control arms
-replaced tie rods and assemblies
-replaced center drag link
-replaced stabilizer links
-replaced all four strut mounts, shocks and bump stops with Boge Turbo Gas shocks
-replaced wheel bearings and hub assemblies
Brake work:
-replaced both brake sensors
-replaced all four brake rotors, seals, hoses, pads
Mechanical work:
-replaced Intake Boot
-replaced throttle housing
-replaced idel valve
-replaced upper and lower radiator hoses
-replaced timing belt, drive belt
-replaced water pump
-replaced valve cover gasket
-replaced distributor cap and rotor
-replaced engine fuel lines
-resealed cam shaft and crank shaft seals
-installed 27 ECU Performance Chip (D'sylva Chip)
-replaced heater blower motor
-replaced RPM and TCP sensors
-replaced cataltic converter
-replaced fuses
-replace stock wheels with e34 basketweaves and Goodyear Triple Tread tires
-serviced the tranny with RedLine Fluid.
Other work:
-replaced shifter knob and floor mats
-replaced right rear window and tr (original window cracked after it came off the track)
-replaced all four weather strip window giudes and door seals
-replaced the trunk seal weather strip
-added a Pfeba rear spoiler
The interior is spotless. 1 small crack in an otherwise spotless dash and seats that exemplify true luxury for 1985. Has a Sony Head Unit CD played and brand new Poineer Speakers. I am having the hood repainted because of major stone chips, a quarter's diameter of rust and half dollar's diameter acorn dent. It should be completed within the next two weeks.
I am asking $8,000 obo for this car. More pictures car be had upon request.
Thank you.
