HI Everyone,

I have concluded that it is time for my six to go. I simply just have no time to enjoy it. There is nothing wrong with it, just sits in the garage and collects dust and gets driven on the extreme occasion. This is not meant to generate offers, or questions regarding the price, just wanted to share this difficult decision with our group. I suppose I will regret the decision later, but, I need the room in the garage and I want to terminate my wifes complaints that I have a car that sits and does nothing. :(

Again, just thought I would share this with our group.

Those are fun. My plan is to do a package deal. I want to get rid of both my current cars and use that to finance a 2001 e38. Those are simply the best bimmer I have driven. Maybe I'll get a new toy or two as well.

Bah, buy a little plot of land, stick one of those steel fab buildings on it, and start a collection!

Better to have a car that you don't use than a wife that you don't use...I'm not really sure what that means of course so use your best judgement.

the wife is on me as well for having 2 cars. even though i've had 2 cars(of some combination,69 Nova being one of my favorites) for many of the yrs we've shared this life. they both get driven, but the 6 does rack up less miles. i do remind her that a BMW did in fact save my life, but she reminds me that's why i also drive a volvo now. the 6 offers many,MANY more smiles per gallon. the volvo with it's all aluminum twin cam straight 6 moves along quite nicely, but it's just a safety cage on wheels.

One thing to remember--A guy has to have his 'stuff'. Women need to know and remember this fact. I have a wonderful wife of just now twenty seven years, she knows. My collection consists of: Two pick-ups (one running, one not), two 6ers (neither running), two Jeeps (one running, one not), one trials bike (I hardly touch it), and various pieces of farm equipment. What can I say? She loves me and doesn't say a word about my 'stuff'.

My M has been parked for a bit while I work on some of the other things life has served me at the moment. I DO feel guilty about it sitting there, however, I know that the car will patiently wait for me to get things sorted out and settled down. I will then be able to order parts, install them and enjoy one of the finer things in life, an E24 of my very own. :)

Don't even ask how long my Mustang has been sitting...ugh. That car has gotta hate me something fierce.

That's certainly a hard decision. But surely there can be some compromise to be found? Maybe get a storage unit somewhere? My wife and I live in the heart of San Francisco, in an apartment. We only have one garage spot, which our Z4 uses. The M6 lives in my wife's office garage nearby, which is hardly convenient. It's a pain sometimes, but we're both willing to do it. You have my sympathies for your situation--I wouldn't be able to keep the M6 if my wife wasn't equally into it.
