I turned 18 in Feb 1997. Still moving the 318ti?

Do you count a Z3 as a 3-series?

Hey, Arctic -- I noticed the car in the picture is decked out with painter's tape. An autox, eh? Cool. ;)

The 335i is my first BMW. Drove it off the lot on Mar 13th a little after 9PM, so that's 4 months, 16 days, 15 hours, and an odd number of minutes. :)

Leases don't count? :rolleyes
Yeah they do, providing you are paying for the lease not your company or something.

Leases are the same as financing. The only people that technically "own" a car have the title in a file in their house. So if you "purchased" or leased they mean the same thing.

I've had my 335 for about 3 months now, its the first 3 series I've ever had, but my family has had 2 5 series sedans in the past.

My 335 coupe is my first 3 series. I drove over 100,000 miles in my first BMW, a 525 and over 100,000 miles in my second BMW, a 740. My wife has 60,000 miles on her X-5 and my son just bought himself a 325.

'87 E30 325es- got in Dec of 1986
'94 E36 325is- traded the 325es at 186K miles for this in August 1994.
'07 E92 335i- got it on May 2007 (still have the E36 325is-has over 250K miles and runs like it's new)

To this day, regretted that I got rid of the E30. LOVED that car. Sport package (sport seats, M3 steering wheel, aerodynamics, sport suspension and LSD)-so nimble and fun.

E36 325is is still loads of fun-not as tossable as the E30, but has better absolute grip. I used to autox and track this car-haven't done it in the last 2 years.

E92 335i is a wonderful car-does everything well and still is a comfortable cruiser. Best of everything to me-quicker than my 325, handles better (compared to my 325 when it was stock) and more luxury items. Gorgeous design in my opinion. When I got my E36, I wasn't 100% enthused. I grew to love it as opposed to loving the looks of my 325es and my 335i immediately.

Isn't evolution wonderful?

My E92 335i is my first BMW. Having a lot of fun with it...well worth the (long) wait.

I've driven only BMW's since 16 (I'm 23) with the exception of a year between my yellow M3 and my 535i during which I had a Benz (and hated it) down at school.

535 doesn't qualify as a 3 series :nono, but its nice having an M3 while still at school. I have to work my ass off much into the second half of the century and might not still be able to get a brand new M3 :mad. I'm happy for you though, not too jealous ;).
