What was initially a miserable morning, turned out to be a fantastic day. We went from Mililani thru Wahiawa and onto our speed run. Then down the twisties and to Kaena Point where we hung out as it was beautiful. From there we went to Kaiaka Park where we rested used the restroom and then went to Laie Point. From Laie Point we drove to our last destination Kualoa Park to have our lunch.

This was by far the largest participation of BFC members on a drive, 11 cars showed up 9 BMWs, 1 Porsche and 1 Chevy Z0-6.

Again for those that have not participated I encourage you to do a drive or come out to a meet. I GUARNTEE YOU WILL HAVE FUN.

Richard,

It was all my pleasure and it was in deed a blast and to be around friends was a great way to spend a gorgeous Sunday.:)

1/2 a tank, yikes and you just topped off in Mililani. Now that sounds like when I had my Viper.

For the next adventure we will start going down some off beaten areas. Such as Pupukea, Tantalus or down to Makaha.

But we will do a repeat next week with Woody so if anyone wants to join in you will have a blast.

For the next adventure we will start going down some off beaten areas. Such as Pupukea, Tantalus and down to Makaha.

I got a heads up for Tantalus, just did two runs up there recently. The potholes are really bad now. LOTS of moss in the shaded areas (involuntary drifting  ). Gravel isn't too bad. Those with sportier suspensions, be ready for a bumpy ride! Also, you guys probably already know, but just in case, the road is blocked if you go the direct Round Top route (short route to the lookout). Gotta go the long way (Makiki Heights Drive or Tantalus Drive).

Drive safe guys.

Special thanks to FLEX for organizing such a great drive and the detours to the awesome areas. I'm all burnt out...literally...drove the whole day with the top off and my arms, neck, and face is glowing red.

Jeff,

I think we all got burnt, due to the nice cool breeze we stayed out in the sun. I got home and my daughter looked at me and asked me if I was all right because I was really red.

Well at least you got to see some areas of the island you would never have gotten to. :) But being there with you guys made the places mean even more.

So the next major venture the BFC will have will be the 4x4 Kaena Point off roading trip. :alright

Hopefully I'll get another chance to visit soon (have a couple friends that have moved out there telling me to come stay with them for a little bit), and I'll see if you guys have anything going on whenever I make it out. (probably wont be until 2008 though :()

Thanks Gary for a great tour. I follow this board almost daily and knew about the tour early on. But I also knew that I was supposed to fly to San Diego on the same day. Thanks to a federal regulation, I was projected to not have enough legal time to fly back from San Diego as scheduled, so the company took me off the trip. Oh darn. So the tour was a great substitute to thousands of miles of open ocean at 35000 feet!!

I think that bicyclist that we passed at rather extra legal speed probably aged a few years, maybe even 60. Does he count as a participant?

I turn 60 this September and my flying days will be over. One day I can Captain a 767 and the next day I'm to old to fly it anymore. But I'm OK with that. Now I will finally have more time for my favorite hobby! But will I have enough money for a C6 Z06? I hate you Jason. You never should have let me sit in it.

I'm really acquainted with the 4X4 area at Kaena Pt. I'm ready for that 4X4 tour. The Jeep won't make triple digits though.

Great seeing all of you guys again.

Terry, it was my pleasure and it was great to meet you and your lovely wife. Also that M3 of yours is a gem.

Being active in the drives, meets and races makes things fun. Going into retirement can be depressing, I should know as I retired from the police department after 28 years and the hardest thing for me to do was to walk away from something I loved doing.

I can tell you that I was pretty much depressed until I found this board and seeing how many others shared the same passion for cars was like a breath of fresh air. The friendships I have made from the meets and drives is PRICELESS.

Hope to see you and your wife at future drives and meets.

You need to talk to my comptroller general, better known as my wife, about how affordable even one of those cars would be. Where did I go wrong? How come I don't have control of my destiny? My wife has been the best as she has tolerated me during my retirement. I went from one car to another to another to another. Till I finally got settled on the 645.:eyecrazy Did I just say settled :confused.

But actually now is the time to grab a ZO-6 as the ZO-7 are on their way like the new Vipers. 600+ horsepower :help.

terry, just tell her it's a dual-purpose car...it can be a comfy tourer that gets good gas mileage due to the torque of the engine not requiring it to be revved up high to get going and it's lighter than either of your M3s, epa mileage at 16/26, more trunk space than a porsche, and as you both know- very comfy seats, with enough room for a helmet for both of you! and the beast within can be awakened when it's track time...

get her behind the wheel in one on a trackday, and i think she'll be hooked...

It was my plan to have it straight but the guy who was supose to be watching that while I was under the car liked it tilted I guess. Saw it when I crawled out from under it but my back hurt so I left it like that. Took it to the muffler shop on Friday to have it fixed and they said that was the way it was. I may jack it up and climb under it again and have another go but I also knew we would have them out in Aug and it will be fixed then.

Hahahahahahaha, Timmy's mom. Timmy is a friend of Donovan (topspin).
Can't be Lisa's son, she isn't that old, or at least she doesn't look that old.

is timmys sister pretty? I always joked with him that I was going to hit on her (after a year of getting to know her, because that's how I work), but never did. hmm may have to go and visit them one day :D.

and yes the mom is very nice. I used to go to their kapolei restaurant all the time, and she'd give me free mandoo :).
