Jayson,

Great pics of the BFC members in action. Gotta invest in a tent as that is the concrete jungle.

I had to call SCCA as I never got my membership card and I just got it in on Friday. :)

David,

That is what it is all about being a part of a BMW family not only are we on the forum but we get together and do our drives, meets and races. Everyone here supports each other as friends do. :D

Yeah, definitely. That's the way it should be. We all have the same drive to enjoy these cars. Makes it even better to make some more friends along the way. :D

I have a double-wide tent in the basement gathering dust.

Can the BMWCCH put up a club tent for members/officers to hang out, recruit, bs, armchair race, etc?

We'll need advice on how to put it up from thrrls, though, as only someone named Woody can pitch a tent like a pro. :)

Ken, Mike and Jayson were my instructors that they and they were great!

one thing that i have to say is that by letting others drive your car, you improved your learning curve by LIGHT YEARS...i was too arrogant (and scared) to let a stranger drive my car when i first started...at least you know what your car can do, and that you realize you need to focus on yourself as a driver, rather than focusing on what the car needs...ken and mike are AWESOME drivers, and any tips they shared with you is great advice...

as long as the tent is secured with weights, there's no problem "erecting" one...just make sure woody doesnt pitch a tent like this, cause i dont wanna see it...

we can put that up too...when the subie guys used to set up tents, we'd display the subaru banner under ours...but we'd have p-cars and vettes by our tent :D

also, since i always park in the same spot, every race (close to the registration tent), we can set up the tent there if you guys wish...i think it's better than in the back, becuase it gives you a spot up front, so we can watch/hear times easier...lemme know if you guys want this, so i can try to reserve some space for us at the next event you guys are planning to attend...

Where do you find those pictures. But that is a great idea where you parked is ideal close to the registration table and upwind of everyone.

The tent with the flag would be great to bad we couldn't get a BFC Flag.

Now I need a car to race, got my SCCA membership card got the best instructor around in Jayson. :D

I got the CCH tents, but according to SCCA you can't anchor them down w/ stakes. If you do, it's a fine of $500 a hole. I guess ratcheting tie downs and old rotors?

the spot where i park is my "unofficial" spot...i always park there...usually cause i help with registration, so my car is right there...

i remember that pic from those "priceless" pictures; the ones that go like this: "camping pass $20, 12 pack of beer: $15, passing out in your underwear and pitching a tent: priceless"

borrow the 330 from your daughter once a month :D TADA! car to race...and there are a lot of GREAT instructors here: ken, gene, woody, reid, & igyloo if it's FWD...or use up the tires on the stock rims of the 645, then slap some r-comps on there when you're ready...

Ever since Woody took my car around Blowhole, I realized that the car was way more capable that I am, and the great thing is that he did too ;)

the dark side has already started it's effect on woody...we need to get him in a midengined p-car, then it's over...

I hope he doesn't have a whole hard drive full.

no, still got some space on my 1TB external...

for $500/hole, i'd just hire some of the better looking hookers :D
spare tires are better as weights for the tents...it can get kinda windy there...or tie it down to a cooler(s)...

MRFLEX

A 645 has enough power for the streets here the M5 has no where to go to exercise, much like the Viper all that power and not being able to use it was very frustrating.

Best to get something with less horsepower and get the most out of it.

Flex has a good point, but I still am enjoying the M:buttrock

Last night on my way home I was on the main road up the hill and saw my arch nemesis, a E36 Black M3 coupe. He and I have had some fun going up the hill before. There was a car in front of him so I caught up, the lead car pulled over to the let us two pass and game on. I could catch him in the straights but at the last hairpin the DSC kicked in big time and I could not get out of the curve.:mad:mad
