Just wanted to see how many are like me on here and would like to pull the trigger and mod their engine but are still too afraid due to warranty or other concerns.

I can't wait to get my Procede, just can't decided if I want that or my 19's first... I know it's not the smartest thinking, but I can't resist the temptation to improve my car in every aspect possible! Might just be that I'm young and dumb...

How about none of the above?

He is polling the ones who are hesitant not that ones who have it or have no problem getting it. That is valid I guess.

after my 335i coupe is broken in then i,ll make my decision if i,m going to add the TT.I didnt plan on modding the car at all as far as performance, just maybe a little on the cosemetics,(MAYBE),but if i do mod the only thing i will do like i said is the turbo tuner. From everything i,ve read about it from the makers of it to the customers using it,it seems like the way i would like to go.40-50whp and trq. for 600 dollars and an easy on easy off install that cant be detected by the dealer sounds like a no-brainer to me. But we,ll se what happens. When i bought my first evo (03 8) i swore i would leave it stock except for a re-flash. 6 months later and 5k dollars, well you know.

I dove right in to mine. The n54 is a strong performance platform, one that is very detuned from the factory. It's practically begging for more boost. :)

There is a risk of warranty problems, but so far there are 100s of people with various ECU mods and I've yet to hear of one engine failure. The key is making sure its tuned properly with a reasonable AF ratio and mild boost curve.

I,m sure there will be a tuner out there that will be able to do a computer flash (dyno tune) like they are doing with the evo,s and STI,s. I guarentee that someones working on it already. But for now the TT seems like a great alternative. And a re-flash of the ecu can be detected by the dealer if they look for it.So even if a tuner can do it like the evo,s and other cars i would probably go with the TT since it cant be detected once its out.Time will tell.
