Hello all, I think I recognize some of you from bmw320i.com and bimmerboys. Well I'm new to bimmerforms and wanted to ask a help question. This weekend I decided to do some small projects to my car I changed the brakes and painted the calipers and drums, it came out really good. I completed my cold air intake and painted the front grill a nice gloss black to add some shine up front. However in the back of the car that strip behind the license plate holder I cant remove so I can paint it. I took out the screws and the license plate holder but there are two "plugs" that seem to be holding this strip on and I dont want to cut them out. If any of you have taken that part off let me know, Thanks :95

You have to take the lock off. There is a ring nut on the inside of the trunk that holds the locking cylinder on the car. Once off it should slide out the back of the car. The rubber gromets can be removed and replaced. I bought a new ribbed piece for the back of my car and did the whole install. It's not too difficult. Email me if you have more problems.
