Anyone from the East Coast want to roll with me to Cali in April??

Itinerary:

Depart Horsham, PA. on Tuesday April 08 in the PM.

Roll to Cali either on the southern route through Oklahoma & the Desert Southwest or roll to I-80 West to San Francisco and then south to Santa Barbara.

Anticipated arrival in SB on FrYday 4/11 in time to find a detail shop and lodging for the weekend.

Attend BimmerFest event on Saturday 4/12

Depart Cali early Sunday morning 4/13 via the southern route in order to do some "blasting" through the open range out there.

Return home by Tuesday night. (God & truckstop hookers willing :D)

Back to the rat race on Wednesday.

Successful candidate will need to love Pink Floyd and be able to sleep on a reclined 740iL seat. We stop for food & fuel only.

Helmet suggested but not required.

Serious replies only!

Thank you

Come on Mike, you can do it (lol :biglaughb). You know you want to go on a ~3000mi fast (fast) journey! You do own BF.c, right? You could represent pretty well

Edit - Simeon, when did you become a mod?

Yup were trying to get a caravan going. We are also trying to get a So Cal 7 club going. So far we have 10 interests. Email craig.galanti@unistudios.com if you want to get on our list.

Matt: you should email Craig too to get on the list

Gentlemen,

Shled, owner of the Silver Sled and Charter E38 Beef Club Member, has come out of the closet so to speak, and revealed he is as crazy as I am, by offering to share the driving to Santa Barbara for the BimmerFest West on April 12.
Happily, Shled is the perfect Co-Driver because he is a responsible fellow and I am certain Baby will be in good hands with him at the controls.

T-Minus 21 days and counting till launch....
Hide the women & children  and stay the hell out of the left lane :help if you know what's good for you.....:chix

:D

Hell yeah Simeon you're coming out here! I'll make sure Baby gets a nice spot at Cutter. Would you want to meet us up and caravan to Cutter with the whole So Cal 7 crew? You are so diehard for driving all the way out here! Looking forward to meeting you and Silver sled.

Matt,

Unless we get kidnapped by some biker chicks in the Midwest, we are planning on entering Cali via the Desert Southwest. I wouldn't want to miss an opportunity to roll through the Mesa country. Mesa country is ideal for some high speed running and besides I hear the High Sierra might still be hincky with snow & such in early April, were we to do I-80 into San Francisco.

I'm down for a 7 Series caravan so long as I can find a detail shop somewhere before the show at Cutter. Jon, one of the BimmerFest organizers mentioned putting Baby on display if we made the trip and a 3k run will leave her in need of some TLC.

Looking forward to meeting you and the So Cal crew.

Regards,

Simeon

Good to hear that you're sure now though.
