noone has had it in a while and I think there would be a lot of intrest in this.
The ideal one to do it with would be the H&R's but I heard that they are on backorder.
So what about Ground controll or TC Kline?

Lowtec is pretty much unknown outside of Germany and Europe thus there are no reviews in English that I know of.
Here is the link to their website (it's in German):
www.lowtec.de

They are extremely popular in Germany and Europe and known for their high quality.
If I come across more info., I will post it.

GC - never going to happen.

Maybe I can do a H&R or KW GB for you guys if you are interested?

Check out their sites to see if they have an application for your specific car.

I know standard E36s, I can get, not sure about M coupes and stuff though.

Lets put it this way.

Here are the H&R coilovers on my site :

http://www.modbargains.com/product.aspx?pf_id=HR_Coilovers_E36_PR

and KW :

http://www.modbargains.com/product.aspx?pf_id=KW_E36_PR

If a GB was to happen, I am thinking, if we have 5-10 people interested, I can maybe get $50-100 dollars off.

Depending on how generous my suppliers feel right now.

Hopefully that gives you guys an idea of what pricing would be like.

Let me know if you guys are interested.

thanks.

-Don

I guess I gota wait 5 more weeks for h&r to make mcoupe coilovers... or shelve out 1700 for ground controlls

We'll have them available from Lowtec - the price will be a lot lower then the H&R Coilovers.

Never heard of lowtec before, but I would go with something that has been around longer and has a better reputation.

H&R is a good intro coilover set-up, and good enough for most, unless you are trying to totally dump your car. I run this on my 911.

I personally run GC on both of my E36 M3s.

KW would be the most ideal, although it is a bit more on the expensive side, the price isn't all that far off from the GC's prices now. Especially with a GB price.

What I like about KW (and I would run it if I had the chance to do it again), would be the fact that it uses progressive springs. Overall, a lot better for the streets, and for the track, that is debatable, depending on who you talk to, but that is the same for progressive springs as well.

Pretty much all of those companies that I listed uses Koni shocks that are specially valved to their specific applications though.

Actually Lowtec has been selling suspension components in Europe since 1986
and is well known for it's innovations in suspension kits in Europe.
The Lowtec coilovers have the innovative level adjustment at the lower bracket with an adjustment range starting from 0-20mm lowering to 80mm lowering.
This race technique is made by Lowtec for street use.
Prices are going to be in the $800 range.

Doing a search for "lowtec coilovers" on google didn't show much.

The first thread that actually showed up was this thread on bfc.

Searching "lowtec" takes me to a german site that doesn't provide much info on the suspension kits themselves.

What am I trying to prove?

Nothing.

It doesn't hurt to try and do research on a coilover set up. I was trying to do just that before I commented on it, so I don't try to make assumptions, but given that there is barely any info on it, I didn't have anything to go off of.

We have been given the responsibility to put Lowtec on the market in the US.
Lowtec suspension components are very popular in Germany and other European countries and it is our intention to aggressively market Lowtec suspension systems in the US.
We started off with a Group Buy on springs and shocks/struts at very competitive prices.
The coilover kits will follow in late August at prices that will make you smile!
All information regarding spring rates, adjustability, prices etc. to follow late August.

That's cool.

What kind of adjustments does it offer, spring rates, etc. Any other kind of info on it?

I'll be interested to see this Lowtec coilover setup for an e36 M

AM -- any info online somewhere I could look into? If it's a solid enough C/O with good construction, reviews, adjustability, etc. for the price .. I'd be willing to hold out on purchasing until late August .. but no later than the 15th

I'd be interested in a set for an e30. depending on adjust ability and quality of construction.

We will have more information at the end of August regarding applications, spring rates etc.
These will only be available in September.
As for quality - Lowtec is known in Europe for it's outstanding quality which is on a par with H&R, Bilstein and other TUV approved suspension systems.
TUV pretty much forces manufacturers to put high quality merchandise on the market.
