I know that there were roughly 1550 M6's built through the years of 1987-1989, but does any have the information on which colors these cars we painted, options they had and such (ex: number of cars painted in Cinnabar red and so on). I've been trying to find this out for quite some time. Any information would help.

Thanks, Kevin

The M-Registry FAQ (http://www.bmwmregistry.com/model_faq.php?id=5) has about as much information as has been published, but not the numbers of cars painted each colour. Maybe email to BMW Mobile Tradition?
If you could get access to the ETK database at a dealer, you could check each car's build sheet one-by-one. If anyone has had the single mindedness to do that, they haven't published anything that I'm aware of.

About as much detail as I've ever seen is at bmwcoupe.nu (http://www.bmwcoupe.nu/) (click the pull down at the top right and select "History" then the "production numbers" link at the bottom of that page). BMW has never been very willing to share detailed production data.

Thanks for the help. I did try to email Mobile Tradition, but the only way they would let me look at the archives was if I was a reporter for a newspaper. I suppose I will have to make a trip to Munich to find out.
