Just saw this in the main forum and thought it was a very interesting post. I have been running 75-90 in my LSD and haven't had a problem. What do you guys think? The guys says that we should be running 75-140, per BMW standards.

+1 on using the 75-140.

I use it on my truck (since it seeps out slower, mainly).

Do BMW LSDs need an additive?

I thought it was only American LSDs that needed an additive (ironically to increase friction in the packs). I'm not up on US LSDs. YMMV.

I was to prevent glazing on the pack surfaces, but those who didn't use it said all that was need was a good burnout now and then to break the glaze.
