Hey guys I'm moving to the island the second week of August and was wondering if any of you guys knew of any job openings in or around Makakilo City? Were buying a townhome up in Makakilo City and would like to find a job close to home rather then trying to commute to the Honolulu area. Thanks for any help!

Makakilo is more of a bedroom community, more than a city per se.

If you're scanning the job postings, keep an eye out for "Kapolei", "Campbell Industrial Park" (?) and "Ko Olina". They're close to Makakilo and have jobs in the area.

If you do end up commuting, there's supposedly a ferry (not the Superferry) starting up between there and downtown. 2 trips in the AM, 2 in the PM. Previous ferry attempts didn't last long, no idea why.

I have a bachelor’s degree in business management and have been working mainly in logistics. I've found quite a few leads in careerbuilder.com and hotjobs.com. Thanks again guys!
