View Full Version : E30 rear end swap question yoruguabmw 07-24-2007, 07:54 PM hi guys i found a rear end with LSD diferential on on it and disc brakes and i was wonder how dificult is to swap it, i dont think its a simple swap but its probably very similar, has enybody done this??? or at list the LSD diferential can be swap??? The diffs are not that similar. In fact I'm not seven sure how many bolts the e21 has going to the driveshaft vs the e30. Even the e30's differed from year to year and model to model, with some being 3 bolt driveshafts and some being 4 bolt. Trailing arms....not even sure if they have the same geometry, so you may be screwed there as well. If this is just to get a LSD, it would be easier (although maybe not as fun or rewarding) to source an e21 LSD. If you HAVE to have the discs too, then see what you can fab up. Has anyone heard and SEEN of this being done before?
