Anyone have the black plastic trim piece for the drivers side seat for a set of sport seats? It sits on the door side of the seat and houses a button similar to a window switch, but i dont know what it controls. PM or e-mail is good.
Thanks all,
-Jeff

Is it this piece Jeff? The switch is used to control the front section of the seat that moves forwards and backwards under the knees.

Mine is cracked. I was able to get a new one from BMW, though it needs to be painted. The dealership told me it would be white - when it arrived it was dark dark brown.

Aye, thats the piece. But for us left hand drivers its for the other side! You nutters down under seemed to get everything backwards!!! Just kidding ellis. I hadnt had a picture of one, but that sure is it. I heard i could get it from BMW too, and not for a bad price, but i figure i might get one for less from someone who has a spare, or i could trade or something. I sold a set of seats to a guy outside New York City, when i dropped them off he pointed out it was missing, so i thought id help him out locating one.
I had no idea it would function that under-knee piece. My manual sport seats have a wheel that adjusts it, actually when the pad is moved out, the crack it leaves is a great place for the cell phone if you ask me.
thanks ellis,
-Jeff

you asked me about the one i have on the sports seats i'm working on. this one is all cracked up and i'm going to have to do quite a bit of work to re-use it. but i still need this one. my e30 manual sports also have the knob.
i still need some parts for e24 sports seats if anyone has a spare frame or individual parts.
