I just purchased a 1975 2002. The seats are in great condition, but the horse hair cushions (on all seats) are dust. The seat cover is resting directly on the springs. How do I replace the cushions?

do a search on BMW 2002 FAQ site. You can replace the horse hair pads with foams from an upholstery store, or buy new pads here http://www.wolfsburgwest.com/index.cfm, but you may need to modify them a little. BMW parts are way too expensive.

you'll save a bundle by using good foam but you'll loose that one & only o2 smell

you can always make a sachet outta the stuff you sweep up from under your seats and hang it from your rear view for that occasional sniff of vintage o2

interesting idea....if you'd use a sleep number mattress both you and your passenger could select their own ride comfort....
