Hi all u bimmer experts out there.

I've got problem with my SatNav that I'm wondering if anybody else have seen...

Basically, sometimes the map on the SatNav "locks up" I can still plot a new route and get correct voice directions. If the screen happened to be split, it shows my position correctly, street name, next movement (right turn etc) are all displayed correctly. The other side of the screen displaying the map is however not updated, it is completely locked up, does not respond to rescaling or anything like that, taking the DVD out and reinserting it doesn't help. The fix is to turn the engine off completely, leave it for 10-20min and then it's ok again. This has happened to me twice now, has anybode else seen this? Is there a fix?

I'm using the v29.1 SW, which the dealer himself updated for me when I got the car, should I update the SW again myself perhaps?

Hmm, perhaps I should should do the v29.1 upgrade again myself this time and c if that helps. It's only happened twice and furtunately there is a fix (turn off for 10-20min) also, I found some other people on the X5world forum that apparently have had the same problem but no "permanent" solutions
