Mr Ekshin 07-22-2007, 02:07 PM Can anyone tell me how to install a air/fuel and volt gauge in a 78 320i? I just removed my cluster to change the speedo. I have an '83, which is different than the Haynes instructions. If you need the cluster removed, I got instructions. You said "guage". If you're being specific, I can tell you how. Be specific. :) TheBestCow 07-22-2007, 04:03 PM I just removed my cluster to change the speedo. I have an '83, which is different than the Haynes instructions. Do you mean an air/fuel ratio gage? If so it requires an O2 sensor in the exhaust-easy enough to weld in if you have the equipment and skills or take it to a muffler shop... Once the sensor is installed the wiring is easy-read the instructions that come with the gage. Volt meter is easy, just buy one and read the instructions. Finding a location to mount them is the hard part, the aftermarket pods that sit on top of the dash are the way to go unless you want to modify your console or fab a new one. ken |
