View Full Version : FS - 3 week old E36 M3 '95-99 Bilstein Sports/H&R Sport springs 400 miles
M3zie 07-20-2007, 03:04 PM '95-99 E36 M3 Bilstein Sports/H&R sport springs, 3 weeks old with 400 miles on them. They are basically brand new. The suspension is still on the car so I don't have pics, but I think we all know what brand new Bilsteins and H&Rs look like.
It's not a typo...these will work on a 95 M3, or 96-99 M3. The Bilsteins are '95-99 by default. I have the '95 H&R sport springs installed (they give a slightly lower front drop .3" than the 96-99 springs) with '95 M3 upper spring plates. This allows any 96-99 M3 to install the '95 springs. If you have a '95 M3, the springs will swap right in since you already have the '95 upper spring plates. If you have a 96-99 M3, these will also swap right in since I've already installed the '95 upper spring plates onto the Bilstein struts. Make sense? Fits any '95-99 M3, fully assembled ready to bolt in to your car.
This is more of a feeler than a definite for sale. If I get an immediate buyer with cash in hand I could let them go. I have an opportunity to get some coilovers locally, so if I can sell these then I will get the coilovers. If not, I'm perfectly fine with keeping them. They are awesome :alright
These are the only 2 pics I have right now (at work). I can get more shots if you need them. As you can see, the '95 H&R sports give a bit of a lower drop in the front, but same 3/4" drop in the rear.

Price is $750 + shipping anywhere in the US. Local pickup is always preferred.
M3zie 07-21-2007, 11:38 AM I also have 1 year old GC RSMs I'll sell for $65. If you buy the suspension, I'll toss in the RSMs free.
So $650 Bilsteins + $250 H&R springs + $100 GC RSMs = $1000
I'm asking $750 + shipping practically brand new.
SLH350 07-22-2007, 08:20 PM You willing to sell just the shocks?
M3zie 07-22-2007, 09:41 PM All PMs replied.
M3zie 07-23-2007, 11:25 AM I'm open to offers, but I've been getting some low-balls I can't even respond to. If I can't get a decent amount, I have no problem keeping them. Brand new with a lifetime warranty :)
I can work on the shipping price if you're interested, or I'll deliver within 1 hour of Washington DC.
Jontran8 07-23-2007, 06:48 PM Since they are still on the car, are you bringing your car to a shop to do it? Or are you going to do it yourself?

Sold them, as in, agreed to sell the Bilsteins seperately to you but had no confirmation of payment method or timeframe? I'm selling everything all at once locally. It's not like I decided to pack and ship the stuff to someone else.

Want me to post the PMs?
I told you that if method of payment #1 didn't work, payment method #2 would be used.
You even REFUSED to get paid by paypal because the 3% fee bothered you, and I agreed to that.
You only wanted to know which method of payment I was ending up using.
You gave me your addy so I could send the check.
Hello?????

Ok you're right. You win. I'm an idiot. Sorry.

Well you agreed to sell the whole set to me. We didn't have confirmation of method of payment, until yesterday. So I paid for the complete setup, right?

I wouldn't go as far as that, but your word sure doesn't mean much.
Had you had the decency of saying «look man, I agree to sell you the shocks, but if someone local shows up within 48 hours, he gets them first, are you comfortable with that?», I would either have said yes or no, and I ESPECIALLY wouldn't have agreed to sell my Konis to someone who needs them badly because I had found some Bilsteins.
Now, I will look like a dickhead to that other guy when I have to back out of that sale.

Yeah, you have nothing to worry about. You're local, you win, even though he had agreed to sell them to me first.
M3zie has some issues when it comes to grasping the concept of a «deal» and the «first come first serve» principle of the classifieds, but you're in the clear.
If this was worth more, I'd fight a lot more (and win, make no mistake), but for 600-700$, I'm gonna look elsewhere and refrain from doing business with Mr. 180° here.

Sorry for your loss. Keep posting in OT, cause whenever I need a good laugh or a pick-me-upper, I look for your post over there.

It's not a grudge. Yet another concept you fail to grasp. :rolleyes It's called taking your responsibilities. You make a deal with me and you back out, you face the consequences. I won't follow you around and crap on your FS threads. But iTrader is here for a reason If a seller is great, people deserve to know. If he's not to be trusted, they deserve even more. End of story.

I'm sorry it worked out the way it did. I can definitely be trusted, however, and I'm a very honest person. I don't take people's money and run or scam anyone or any of that mess.
Selling everything locally all at one time outweighed having to pack and ship PART of the set to Canada, and possibly be stuck with leftover parts. I've appologized but thats just the way it worked out.

You left out the part where you didn't feel the need to be upfront and tell me «look man, I'm not too comfy parting it out, so I'm gonna hold on to them in case a local buyer shows up, then I'll PM you if nothing happens» instead of making a deal with me first, THEN backing out when said buyer did show up. No one disputes that it's easier to sell locally. You just had to say so beforehand. Big difference.
Oh, and BTW, there is not a magical post office located 50 miles further away to ship to Canada. You ship from the same place. For you, it's no different than shipping to Texas.
