There are some cheap ones available from Asia but I'm trying to find a better quality one.

Found these-have to find out if the high one is adjustable with removable blocks or not.
Prices are approx. $450 and $500.
These are made of a high quality hard polyurethane.

How much for the low ltw style?? Are these already painted or primered or what? How much for used vs. new??

hey thanks for taking the time to look into this for us. i am defenatly interested in a high one. for me remouvable risers are not important. that price is a bit more than i was hopeing for, what would we be looking at for the "cheap asian made ones" you mentioned earlier.

Its going to be hard to get the Real Deal OEM wings since they are currently NLA. Even if anyone was to find one available from BMW it was a Not for Import piece.

How do I know? Cause I just bought one of the last 10 or so that was in the bmw warehouse. It wasn't easy and the man that made it happen took the rest of the remaining stock. Ditto on the risers as well!

I can get you guys the MA Shaw spoilers. They are made from the best materials and are the best of the best, as far as replicas goes. The risers are also removable, if you get the hi-rise version.

If we do a GB, I can do $699 + shipping, which is around $49 dollars within the US.

Let me know if you guys are intersted in that.

They are made of FRP, and for CF, it is $149 more (which may be worth it for some guys, since that way you won't have to paint it, if you wanted to leave it bare).

BMWE34M5
07-24-2007, 02:53 PM
We should be able to do the MA Shaw spoilers for a bit less than that if there is any interest in the low $600 price range.

Ok, so if I get the "tall" one with risers, I can also run it in the low configuration. Does anyone know, for this particular replica, how tall the low one is? Meaning the length from the trunk lid/bottom of spoiler to the top of the wing?

FYI, those are two different wings posted there. The blue car on the bottom appears to be running the GT wing, while the others are running the LTW wing. The main difference is the amount it hangs off the rear of the trunk. The LTW wing extends slightly past the trunk (look at the red cars) and the GT was rather flush with the trunk. Just wanted to throw that out there.

As for people asking about and concerned about the third brakelight... I believe the original OE LTW wing was cast in a special mold for U.S. specifications. MaShaw made some with the third brake light in the past and has since stopped as it would be a completely different mold. I think PTG retrofitted the 3rd light as well on some of their cars. To my knowledge, it is very rare and would be very difficult to find a LTW wing with the third brakelight :( Aside from money, that's one reason I still don't have one.

As for the price, great job man. I hope people jump on board so you can continue things like this in the future. One day I'll get one... one day :(

I was going off of what I thought I remembered so go F yourself. If I wanted, I could have spent the time going through that multi page thread in the E36 M3 forum which we both posted in where people were asking questions about the difference, why some had the third light and some didn't, and replied with what was posted there cause I thought I remembered. I didn't, I stand corrected... no reason to be an a-hole about it.

What I do remember is there was a lot of talk about one being longer on the bottom and the whole thing about the thrid brake light.

And now please correct me if I'm wrong, politely....

GT and LTW wing is the same except the GT did not have the third brake light?
In my previous post, I completely confused the GT with the Class II wing (which sits flush to the trunk).
And a pic of the GT and Class II side by side

I don't believe they will work - these are replicas of the factory wings.
Also - we do not sell the risers seperately - we only offer the wings with or without the risers - sorry.

BMWE34M5
08-07-2007, 02:41 PM
No, they do not come with any hardware or installation jigs.
The price is good thru 8/15 only - that's the cutoff date for our container from Europe.
Shipping one or 2 spoilers from Europe will not be practical $ wise.

As long as the Euro vs. the $ stays the same, the price will be the same on our next container shipment in early October - this is not a Group Buy - I negotiated a no minimum order price.

I'm also interested in having a brake light in there, it doesn't seem like thats an option tho...o well. also are these 2/4 door specific, u show pics on both (even tho the shot of the one on the blue coupe looks completely different). those are some ILL wheels on the black 4 door tho:lol

They are not 2 door or 4 door specific-they are only available in one size and style for both coupes and sedans.
Unfortunately these are the only pics. we have.
They are not available with the 3rd brake light.

Nice a group buy!

Questions.

No pics of the high version?

It is confirmed it does hang off the trunklid like a US LTW wing correct?

It does have removable risers if I go with the HIGH version.

Mounts with bolts and drilling? Know if it uses the holes used for the OEM spoiler?

Hopefully I can get my cash together. I need a LTW wing. bad

You have to drill holes to mount it.

I am tempted but there is so much risk in this. We don't have a picture of an unpainted version of the spoiler sitting on and off a car. We don't get any mounting hardware or jig. It is also impossible to verify from the pictures whether it is an "exact" copy of the factory LTW and what the quality, fit and finish of the piece are.

I would buy one in a heartbeat if I could be confident of these issues or have the ability to return it if it arrives not as good as promised.

BMWE34M5
08-11-2007, 09:05 AM
According to our supplier in Europe, it is an exact replica of the factory GT wing without the brake light.
It is made by the same factory that makes our E30 M Tech 2 kits, which are excellent quality - having sold them for over 4 years without one problem or complaint.
I have an inquiry in to the factory to confirm the question of hardware and jig.
Hopefully I will have an answer on Monday.

Fiberglass is FRP. Theres absolutely 100% no difference between the two. FRP is just a general term used.
Fiberglass is glass....it cracks a lot easier than polyurethane.......
you cant even push it.
If fiberglass takes on so much as a pebble,
it will crack and shatter where that pebble made contact.
There is no fixing that other than to glass over it.

Polyurethane is much more durable and can be sanded/repainted
if over time there are rock chips and the likes.

Do a Google search and see for yourself:
frp vs. polyurethane

We have a few orders in house.
These have not been sold in the USA before - so nobody in the USA has one.
We have sold other products made by the same European factory (E30 M Tech 2 kits, ACS Replica spoilers, M Tech 2 spoilers etc.) and the quality is second to none.
The Lightweight wings we are selling are exact replicas of the originals with the thinner underpanel as opposed to the thick one the other company makes.
Also-most importantly, ours is made of durable Polyurethane not fibreglass that can crack and is difficult to keep looking new.
Ours only weigh 14 lbs for the high version and 12 lbs for the low version.
I am prepared to give you a 100% money back guarrantee if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase of these wings.
I think that once you have seen them, you will appreciate the value in this sale.
Let me repeat - this is not a Group Buy, so no minimum quantities are required.
We get shipments every month from the factory.

The sedan and coupe uses the same wing - it only comes in one size.

Sedan's and coupe's have different size trucks and do use different sized spoilers.

Just like how you and alex use different size dildos?

Not aware of that but this spoiler is used on both coupes and sedans.

do you think youd be able to get some aftermarket risers for cheap? for everyone that already has the spoiler but doesnt want to pay 200+ for two pieces of plastic...

good idea, if anyone here is gonna order a low one, ill pay the difference of the high one if you send me the risers. or if someone bought a low one, is the seller willing to take the risers off of a high one, and give them it without risers and sell me the risers?

If you want to buy the risers from someone that orders a high one, that will work.
I would hesitate selling just the risers in the event of a not perfect fit - the ones we sell are made by a different manufacturer and the measurements or angles may not be 100% exact to yours.

please sell me just risers for the coupe!

Please :)

So who wants to buy removable risers? Whoever does this for me I'll pay you $10 more than the actual price + whatever shipping is..

Or if you have a faulty climate control I'll fix it for you

Or I'll give you a E36 M3 stock front swaybar and crossmember

Or...I dunno I just need risers

You have to find someone buying the low spoiler and convince them to buy the high spoiler but sell you the risers. Of course I don't know how you would guarantee that they would fit any other LTW style spoiler...

Once our shipment comes in, we will take orders.
Due to delays, we expect them late next week.

We're getting some next week.

The distributor is closed for the month of December - I'm quoting early January to be on the safe side.

We may get more at the end of November.

We usually get a shipment every 6 weeks except over the December holidays.

like, if you have it mounted on your trunk with risers, and you wanted to remove the risers for the low look. would you have to take the entire thing off in order to remove the spacers? or can you remove the spacers with the whole thing still screwed to your trunk?

BMWE34M5

You have to unscrew it from the trunk lid to remove the risers.

I'd suggest using some urethane to hold the base of the wing to the trunk, since even the OEM ones wiggle a little bit. Also, removing and installing risers is a pita, so just leave it as is. I thought I would take my risers out when I'm not at the track, but it was too much of a hassel. :dunno

Due to the weak Dollar vs. the Euro, there has been a $20 price increase.
The High version is $499 and the Low version is $449 plus shipping from Florida.
The installation kit includes a Spoiler Adhesive Sealant.

Question does anyone know what the 2 wires coming out of it are for??
Also anyone have issues with the top and bottom parts of the lowrise wing matching up perfectly?
