ttgxc 07-18-2007, 01:30 PM Figured we get a new thread rolling about a meet in August. We were talking about meeting in Indianapolis on Sunday, August 5th maybe at Fasttimes?
Previous thread: Indiana Member Roll Call
Whose interested and any suggestions?

B. Rip huh? Just throwing out that I'm 20 so can't go to a bar, fucking Indiana laws.
typeS4 07-21-2007, 10:39 AM Hah, I'm 20 but there are some good places in Bripple.
gearheadE30 07-21-2007, 02:31 PM I'll have to see if I can stop by. Indy isn't too far away from fishers....
kbcobra289rs 07-22-2007, 04:55 PM I posted in the other thread, but I am up for a Aug. 5th (possibly Fastimes) meet.
typeS4 07-22-2007, 07:03 PM We need to post this on e90post and e46fanatics (and anywhere else).
jshin80 07-23-2007, 12:32 AM i'll let local M3forum.net member knows about this.
we just had M3 GTG today. and we meet regularly so. please provide some updates. thanks.
sk8rat6587 07-23-2007, 12:35 AM Hah, I'm 20 but there are some good places in Bripple.
Yeah I know there are still good places for the under 21 crowd(I pretty much live down the street and I'm there all the time). I was just making sure we weren't excluding anyone.
Kipp@Modtech 07-26-2007, 11:31 PM I'm down for gettin together. is anyone going to Midwest Bimmer Fest?
sk8rat6587 07-30-2007, 02:29 PM So is are we still planning on Fasttimes this weekend? I hope I can make it and be able to drive. I tore the ligaments in my ankle(basically a bad sprain) playing hockey and can't really walk much right now so I don't know how driving a kart would be.
typeS4 07-30-2007, 04:51 PM We need to get an official "Yes, I'll be there list." I had no response on e46fanatics.
sk8rat6587 08-01-2007, 12:22 AM So, who is actually going to show up? It seems like the group of guys in the Indy area always make plans that end up not happening, hopefully we can change that.
kbcobra289rs 08-02-2007, 10:40 PM I am still up for going but it doesn't seem like there is much interest at this point.

It seems like that is how most meets for the area seem to go. Everyone says they want to do it, then either change their minds or forget about it. There could be a really strong presence and group around the Indy area with how many bmws there are, but nobody seems to really want to get together all that much.
Anyway, I'm definately still down about fasttimes on Sunday, if you want to go and are going to show up post here so we can possibly know how many people will show up.

I've been trying to attend the CCA meets when I can, but I can barely make those as it is. When I have gone, more than plenty of people have shown up, depending on the event. I would say, definitely check out the CCA meets, whether it's auto-x or a dinner/drive, if you're flat-out looking for BMW interest in Indy. I was planning on meeting up at fasttimes Sunday, but my suspension has first priority.;)
Meeyatch1 08-03-2007, 09:33 AM I'll have to see if I can stop by. Indy isn't too far away from fishers....
Not too far?? Dude....Fast Times is a 5 minute drive!! What do you consider far?? :confused
ttgxc 08-03-2007, 11:26 AM I think I can make it. What time should it be? Once we have a time that we can move on from there.
I posted a thread on Bimmerfest too.
typeS4 08-03-2007, 05:09 PM Time and other stuff?
I'll go, but it looks like no more than a handful will be there.
Kipp@Modtech 08-03-2007, 06:49 PM Are you talking about this sunday? I don't have a Bimmer right now, but I can roll with a crew. depending on when and where.
you all should get on indyHP.com and/or driftindy there aren't a lot of bimmer guys on there but a gang of motorheads that hang out pretty regularly.

Oh I know people show up to those events, but in most other cities I have been to there has been a pretty big presence with clubs and what not with weekly gatherings and other meets thrown in. Even Auburn has it's own bmw that meets more regularly than anything in Indy. Oh well, I don't really mind all that much, I'm just surprised more people don't get as involved around here. Anyway, I am planning on going Sunday. Does anyone have a specific time for it that would be better for them?
InsideOut 08-06-2007, 03:00 PM Even Auburn has it's own bmw that meets more regularly than anything in Indy.
That is because Auburn is cooler than Indy.
Museindy 08-07-2007, 12:44 PM Darn... I think I missed a good event at Indy..
When will be the next one?

hmm...as a college town yes, but city I think not. I was actually really surprised when I went down there with how many bmws were on campus(and modded ones too).

No you didn't. It never happened.
Meeyatch1 08-16-2007, 12:46 AM No you didn't. It never happened.
In a city this size, with SOOO many BMWs...I am continually amazed how nobody actually does anything. :confused
typeS4 08-16-2007, 10:54 AM I rarely see any E36's. The E46's I see are owned by women, there are a few modded but maybe a handful. The E46 M's are owned by older guys, a few BMWCCA members. The 5's and 7's are all leased and the E30's are beat to shit and they are all 318i's.
This is what it looks like in Carmel. I wouldn't say I see many bimmers anyway.

That's because it's all engineering students that probably want to be the next DINAN or something. haha. But when I lived there I loved it and I wasn't at college. Every time I go back I like it.
CHEEBURGER CHEEBURGER FTW! :eyecrazy
Museindy 09-03-2007, 02:03 PM There are many bimmers in Bloomington thanks to the college kids. I hope there will be any movement for the bimmer gathering.
Meeyatch1 09-04-2007, 08:30 PM Okay...we are now into September with not a darn thing happening. What does it take to get you guys together? Beer? Food? What!?!?
kbcobra289rs 09-04-2007, 08:41 PM I still say Fastimes. Who can say no to indoor karting!
jeepman2 09-05-2007, 02:30 AM wish i had brake lights, and lost that funny, random vibration.
i had my 635csi in carmel almost every day for a month typeS4, i actually got more props from the older audi guys then anyone else.
gawd i put about 5000 miles on the car that month, but it was great! lots of high speed touring...

Where were you at with the 6? I've seen a couple around.
typeS4 09-10-2007, 11:07 PM Well, 4500 RPM and I met up in B-town. We should really set something up. Like a cruise dinner.
Did anyone see what the Corvettes had at Clay Terrace. We should get the CCA to do that.
