What is involved? The Fog light looks like a complete unit. Can the whole unit come out from the front?

Yes its really easy, i just did mine the other week. I actually bought the HID fogs from Umnitza. You basically just have to pull the trim off around the fog light and then i think there is a screw you need to take out, it should pull out. Unplug then replace. I also recommend some clear protective film to help protect the new fog light from cracking from rocks, etc.

1. Remove trim surround (preferably with something that wont scratch plastic).
2. You will then see one screw, remove
3. Gently tug on the entire housing to gain access to the bulb.

reverse to install.

8mm bolt and the fog just pops out.
