Its been almost 2 years since I got my tranmission replaced after I bought the car. The synchros were messed up by the previous owner. It was done all under warranty. I had Classic BMW go ahead and put in a new clutch at the time as well 48k miles. For the first month or so it the transmission drove just fine. After that since it doesnt shift smoothly to knowledge. I dont ever remember the car being so notchy. I brought it to them last year in the fall and they said they couldnt find anything wrong with it. Should I take it to BMW of Dallas and have them test drive and get their opinion? The warranty on the transmission is about to be up.

Does anyone in the DFW area have a 5 series manual that I could possibly drive down the street to see what it feels like?

What would you guys recommend?

Try a change in transmission fluid. If BMW did it, they probably put their lifetime fluid back in. You could try Royal Purple Synchromax or Redline, either one should smooth things out a bit, and at a total cost of ~$20, it's much less than another transmission :D
