Man, that rain really helped my time :D. 328iJunkie 07-16-2007, 02:04 AM grr. I want my E36 back. Whens registration open for the next one?!! tabasco 07-16-2007, 06:39 AM Cool! Thanks! I need to go faster. BimmerDawg 07-16-2007, 08:09 AM Did Ryan Neily get lost or something? cliffhanger407 07-16-2007, 08:19 AM Did Ryan Neily get lost or something? Yup. Missed the turn by Pole C every time. (It was the last 90 degree turn right befor going into the finish box). kevbh 07-16-2007, 08:38 AM Cool, I managed to beat the other e90. Looks like the RX7 gave Jim's Caterham a run for his money. weazer6511 07-16-2007, 09:03 AM We should put a little * next to group 3 people. Would like to see how all the rain times compared even though it started to dry up a lot towards the end, the last 1/4 of the track was wet by the 180 turn. tabasco 07-16-2007, 09:23 AM We should put a little * next to group 3 people. Would like to see how all the rain times compared even though it started to dry up a lot towards the end, the last 1/4 of the track was wet by the 180 turn. I think Matt said that all of E was in run group 3. But yes...that would be a good idea. jason e9nine 07-16-2007, 09:25 AM ....even though it started to dry up a lot towards the end, the last 1/4 of the track was wet by the 180 turn. The "water box" cooled your tires down :stickoutt Matt 07-16-2007, 09:25 AM D and E were all in group 3, along with Brian Bell (X1) and Michael McCoy (F) I think that's everyone. rneily 07-16-2007, 04:39 PM Did Ryan Neily get lost or something? Yup. Missed the turn by Pole C every time. (It was the last 90 degree turn right befor going into the finish box). And no-one ever told me!!! I missed that last gate all day until the event was over, and someone came up to me and said "Man, You DNF'ed every time"... Usually, the course worker that give out the time slips at the end writes down that it's a DNF when you are given your slip. Ahh well. I'll pay more attention next time. I still had a great time! :buttrock ShaunATL 07-16-2007, 04:54 PM We didn't get slips in group 3 for some reason :dunno I really enjoyed the event - looking forward to the next Saturday one. kendogg 07-16-2007, 04:59 PM We didn't get slips in group 3 for some reason :dunno I really enjoyed the event - looking forward to the next Saturday one. Wha?? Michelle and I didn't :dunno. Shaun, did you or Amber get any pics by chance????? :buttrock tabasco 07-16-2007, 05:52 PM yeah...no time slips in Group 3. And...my 6th run did not get recorded. I wonder if I was supposed to re-run??? Oh well. Good times! I cannot wait until the next one. cliffhanger407 07-16-2007, 06:13 PM And no-one ever told me!!! I still had a great time! :buttrock I woulda toldya except I was standing by pole C :rolleyes. Hey, you just found a shortcut, that's all. Seriously though, times don't matter (that much). It's the experience. ShaunATL 07-16-2007, 06:20 PM We haven't gone through the pics yet - it will probably be Wednesday at the earliest before they're sorted - I'll post the good ones. I still had a great time! :buttrock That shouldn't happen and we will beat the time slip writer into understanding the process for the next event. idiot328 07-16-2007, 06:45 PM geez... about as bad as I figured. At least I didnt hit any cones? Guess I need lots more practice at this. never felt like I was doing the slalom right and knew I could've carried alot more speed into the next bunch of corners. [[where's that chicken emoticon??]] running into the wet sand/dirt area was entertaining! thanks to everyone out there - I certainly had a good time. Extra kudos to the folks who worked the course while group 3 was running - certainly was ample opportunity to run for the hills beforehand! no free non-last-place in group D for everyone else next time though - I will be at Roebling instead. kevbh 07-17-2007, 07:47 AM no free non-last-place in group D for everyone else next time though - I will be at Roebling instead. Are you running with Seat-Time at Roebling in August? If so, let me know what you think about the event. I signed up with them to run at Roebling Oct 19th or 26th (web site says 19th, Jon's email indicated 26th ???) and I'm curious what I may have gotten myself into. :stickoutt kevbh 07-17-2007, 07:51 AM After watching the time slip dispenser almost get run over during run Group 2 by a car sliding sideways through the stop box, I can see why volunteers were hard to come by during Group 3! sairoland 07-17-2007, 08:09 AM My times were pretty terrible too :( Old bargain bin tires + no alignment + rain = sideways Sure was fun though! tabasco 07-17-2007, 08:58 AM After watching the time slip dispenser almost get run over during run Group 2 by a car sliding sideways through the stop box, I can see why volunteers were hard to come by during Group 3! Yeah...that was a bit of a shock! At least he was looking up and was able to leap and bound out of the way....literally. And that was before any rain. I guess that guy's brakes got a little overheated. idiot328 07-17-2007, 09:33 AM Are you running with Seat-Time at Roebling in August? If so, let me know what you think about the event. I went to their inaguaral events and the instructors were decent if not great. But once you get signed off, there is ample track time! Over the 2 days in August I expect 4+ hours of on-track time. BruceH 07-17-2007, 09:38 AM Yeah...that was a bit of a shock! At least he was looking up and was able to leap and bound out of the way....literally. And that was before any rain. This happened in the dry? kendogg 07-17-2007, 09:38 AM After watching the time slip dispenser almost get run over during run Group 2 by a car sliding sideways through the stop box, I can see why volunteers were hard to come by during Group 3! Whoa, I missed that part......... kaamacat 07-17-2007, 09:50 AM I do like that official name.........."Slip Despenser" Dominic49 07-18-2007, 12:32 AM This happened in the dry? yeah dude braked way late in the stop box and was already turning at almost full lock when he locked up the front brakes and understeered towards timeslip dispenser kevbh 07-18-2007, 07:31 AM yeah dude braked way late in the stop box and was already turning at almost full lock when he locked up the front brakes and understeered towards timeslip dispenser Luckily the time slip dispenser had cat like agility and "Spidy sense". Very impressive. |
