Has any one had the problem of creating their own audio CDs and they will work every where except in their Z4. My created CDs work in my Toyota and my wifes Suburban but no in my Z4.

It depends on the file format, media type and CD drive compatability. I assume you weren't buring an MP3 CD, as my Z4 won't play MP3 discs. Next check your media, some CD car equipment won't play CDRW discs, or some high speed discs, or even some cheapo 5 for a dollar CD blanks. Finally, make sure your software is formatting and burning a proper audio CD, one that will play in a home system. For example I used NTI CD & DVD Maker v7 selected "make audio CD" dragged a number of MP3 songs onto the program file space until the disc space monitor showed nearly full then clicked "burn" it automatically converted the MP3s to audio CD format and it worked fine in my Z4. Nero works well too, and there are many other software programs. I use Memorex 700MB 80min CDR discs and they have worked in all my cars and home systems. Good luck, try again!

What's year of your Z4? I have no problem with playing any CDs, audio, MP3, rewritable disks. For audio CD you can try to close disk after burning. It isn't requirement for MP3 disks, however I am not sure if multi session disks supported well. I have only problem with DVDs.

I have a 2006 Z4. I am burning audio CDs and they work in all CD players in my home. They are cheapo CDs, I will try higher quality discs. Thanks for the ideas.

I usually buy whatever brand CD is on sale, and I have never had a problem.
